Attack from a non-lacrosse state landed a Big Ten commit
A dynamic attack from a state where D1 coaches almost never travel. Great club program, elite finishing, but invisible to East Coast recruiters. We flipped her exposure plan on its head — got her to the coaches instead of waiting for them.

Where they started
The situation
- Living 1,500 miles from the D1 lacrosse belt
- Club program had never placed a player above D3
- Family was spending a fortune on tournaments no D1 coaches attended
- Recruiting timeline compressed — she was already a junior
The plan we ran
What we actually did
Step 1
Reset the tournament strategy
Cut her tournament schedule in half and replaced it with 7 East Coast recruiting events where target-school coaches would actually be on the sideline.
Step 2
Pre-booked coach meetings
For every showcase, emailed the head coaches of her target programs two weeks out with her field, jersey number, and a 90-second film cut. They came to watch her specifically.
Step 3
Built her academic case
Her 4.0 was leverage. We packaged her transcript with her film so coaches saw an easy admissions story alongside the lacrosse story.
Step 4
Managed the offer timing
When her top choice offered, we had two other D1s in active conversations. She made a decision on her terms, not on a 48-hour clock.
The turning point
At a Baltimore recruiting event, three D1 head coaches watched the same 40-minute game — because we'd emailed all three with her jersey number and one clip. She scored 4.
The result
Where they ended up
- Committed to a Big Ten program in September of senior year
- Full ride athletic scholarship — under $5k/year all-in for books/fees
- First player from her club program to sign D1 lacrosse
- Younger sister now training with the same target list in mind
"We were flying to tournaments no one important was watching. Kito showed us we didn't need more tournaments — we needed the right seven. It changed everything."
