My Story
I have been where your athlete is going.
My name is Kito Delgado, and I am the founder of URECRUITU. I started this because I have lived the recruiting journey myself — and I have made the mistakes so you do not have to.
I played for a small high school with a graduating class of 64. The odds were stacked against me from the start. Despite that, I earned a full ride to Boston University. But after my freshman year, the school cut the football program. I was forced with a decision: stay at BU as a normal student and keep my athletic scholarship, or navigate the recruiting process all over again.
I chose the latter — and earned a full ride to Northeastern University.
Despite the success, my parents and I made countless mistakes along the way. Looking back, so many of them could have been avoided with the right guidance. That is exactly why I do this. It is my goal to share my lived experiences to help families avoid mistakes that could cost them the opportunity of a lifetime.
That is why I am so passionate about this work. Every family deserves honest guidance, a clear plan, and someone in their corner who has actually walked this path. With over 100 podcast episodes, group presentations, keynotes, and one-on-one guidance, I have helped thousands of families take control of their recruiting journey.
It would be my honor to be your college recruiting coach. If you are serious about taking control of your college recruiting journey, I would love to work alongside you. Let us build something great together.

Our Philosophy
The 7 Laws of Recruiting
Most families think recruiting is about getting discovered. It's not. Recruiting is about creating opportunities, building relationships, and taking ownership of your future. At URECRUITU, we believe these seven laws are the foundation of a successful recruiting journey.
- 01
Hope Is Not a Plan
Hope is not a recruiting strategy.
You cannot hope a coach finds your highlight video. You cannot hope someone notices you at a showcase. You cannot hope the right opportunity magically appears.
Successful recruits build a plan, execute consistently, and create opportunities for themselves.
- 02
College Recruiting Starts With You
Nobody will care more about your future than you.
Your parents can support you. Your coaches can guide you. Your trainers can help develop your skills. But ultimately, recruiting is your responsibility.
The athletes who take ownership of the process are the athletes who create the most opportunities.
- 03
Recruiting Is Sales
This may be the most important law of all.
College coaches are not simply recruiting the most talented athletes. They are recruiting athletes who fit their program academically, athletically, financially, and culturally.
Your job is to communicate your value, build relationships, follow up, and demonstrate why you are the right fit.
- 04
No Grades, No Play
Your GPA is often your first recruiting evaluation.
Before a coach watches your film, they may ask about your grades. Before a college offers you a roster spot, they need to know you can be admitted and remain eligible.
Strong academics create options. Poor academics eliminate them.
- 05
Self-Awareness Creates Opportunities
One of the biggest mistakes recruits make is misunderstanding their market.
Know your strengths. Know your weaknesses. Know your level. The goal isn't to find the biggest-name school. The goal is to find the best fit academically, athletically, socially, and financially.
The more honest you are with yourself, the more opportunities you'll uncover.
- 06
Exposure Without Evaluation Is Meaningless
Being seen and being recruited are not the same thing.
Families often spend thousands of dollars chasing exposure through camps, showcases, and tournaments. Exposure matters. But honest evaluation matters more.
Before asking, “Who saw me?” ask, “Am I recruitable?” Feedback creates improvement. Improvement creates opportunities.
- 07
Follow-Up Wins
Most recruits stop after one email. Most coaches don't respond to the first email.
Recruiting rewards persistence. The athlete who follows up professionally, consistently, and respectfully will often create opportunities that others miss.
Relationships are built through consistent communication.
College recruiting doesn't happen to you. It happens because of you.
