Honest answers — the same ones I give on every free call.
Almost never. High school coaches have full-time teaching jobs and rarely have time to actively market individual players. Most club coaches help their top 1-2 athletes — the rest are on their own. A recruiting coach works only for your family, every week, on your athlete's behalf.
Fair. But the math usually flips the other way: one extra $5K/year in academic or athletic aid over four years is $20K. Most families I work with secure significantly more than the cost of coaching — and end up at a better-fit school. We can talk through what makes sense in a free call.
9th-10th grade is the ideal start. 11th grade is the critical year. 12th grade is still very workable with the right late-cycle strategy. The only time that's truly 'too late' is after your athlete has signed somewhere they regret. If you're asking the question, it's the right time to talk.
Only if your athlete is in the top fraction of a percent nationally. For everyone else — even very talented athletes — the recruits who get offers are the ones with a strategy, consistent outreach, and film in front of the right coaches at the right time.
